Dreamt that I had a boyfriend last night. He was really nice. He was white with light brown hair. He was just and average guy- cute but wasn't obviously one thing or another; real neutral looking and feeling. We dated and would see each other pretty much every day. He liked to thrift. I told him about a real good thrift store and we went 30 minutes before it closed. He drove.
At one point, our families were eating dinner at the same restaurant at tables right next to each other. I heard his grandma say something really racist- I think it had something to do with the "N" word. I got really upset and looked over to see my boyfriend squirming and looking distraught, so I didn't say anything to avoid a scene, even though I wanted to make one. Later in the dream, I was hanging out with Jade and we were talking about what a great boyfriend he was and that he gave me space when I needed it because he sensed it.
Later in the dream, I was at his house in the basement. I discovered his family was evil and mine was good, but he was trying to overcome it. Then he made me and a couple of my friends go through a test he made up, but I don't remember what it was. I wasn't taking it serious in the dream.

If this were my dream (and if I were looking for a boyfriend) I'd keep my eyes open for such a man. Of course we can't pick and choose which family were born into, and we all have things to overcome, so maybe you'll be able to help him onto the side of Light. And having some personal space is always a good thing!

ReplyDeleteI think its harder for the families most times than the people in the relationship because most often they're the ones who need to adjust... that's probably what my subconscious was really focusing on. I've dated people from all sorts of backgrounds; I crave cultural variety!
